My Story

ME  circa 1972

For as long as I can remember, there has always been a paint brush in my hand. Whether faux finishing walls, oil on canvas or water colors, painting is a passion.  Since 2003 I have taken my love of painting to the human canvas and began face painting.  I have had the pleasure to work for such companies as Diner en Blanc - Philadelphia and Atlantic City locations, Philadelphia Country Club, Wilmington Trust Bank and several appearances on Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.  I have also worked for 2 other area entertainers at such venues as Lincoln Financial Field, Trenton Thunder, Philadelphia Flyers, Wawa and various parties large and small.  In addition to face painting,

I offer balloon twisting, Glitter Tattoos, and Metallic Flash Tattoos.

I  have Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearances and Pennsylvania State Police Criminal                            Record Checks, this also is true for everyone that works alongside of me.

Charmed Face Painting proudly serves the following Counties:

in Pennsylvania:  Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware,  Philadelphia and parts of Lehigh and Northampton.

in New Jersey: Burlington, Mercer, Hunterdon, Camden, Gloucester, Atlantic and Cape May

As a Registered Nurse, I kick cootie bugs to the curb!  Hygeine is of utmost importance.  I use only one sponge per child, and wash my brushes in 100% organic, safe for the face and body, brush sanitizer.

If the lips are to be painted, then I use a single use disposable lip brush.  My rinse water container is "flushed" (see right) frequently.  No dirty "coffee" water here!  I also make sure that if a guest is presenting with symptoms of a skin disorder or a contagious disease I will not paint that person. Unfortunately, this is not true for many of the face painters in the area.

HYGIENE

The Safety of your guests is my first priority. My face painting "paints" are actually FDA compliant water based cosmetics.  In thirteen years, I have never had an allergic reaction.  The paints are easily removed with mild soap and water. Glitter tattoos use a vinyl stencil adhered to the skin, then dermatologist tested glue is applied, and when dry, cosmetic grade glitter.  Please note:  Anyone with any kind of skin eruption or open sore will not have that area painted as to not further exacerbate the condition.    When ever possible, an alternative location may be painted.  This is at the discretion of the artist.

NEVER allow anyone to use craft or acrylic paint on you or your child.

SAFETY

Most free or cheap face painter and balloon twisters can create a few designs in an hour.  I can create impressive but quick designs for up to 12-15 guests per hour.  My goal is a three minute face.  Someone working at a less than professional speed may appear to be a great deal, but may actually cost you more per guest than a professional.
